It’s Award Season: We’re delighted to be finalists at this years prestigious UK Paid Media Awards

We’re in the running for the Travel Campaign of the Year at the 2026 UK Paid Media Awards.

Significant year on year growth

Thanks to our fantastic work with Big House Experience, we’re a nominated finalist. Big House Experience, a luxury UK travel brand specialising in big houses to rent across the UK, are one of our longest-standing clients, having first onboarded them nearly five years ago, in June 2021. From manor houses to castles, BHE provide the most idyllic properties for large groups to book.

We run Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta Ads for them and have been achieving +30% growth year on year for the past few years. In a particularly challenging economic climate in 2025, we still achieved a massive 35% growth year on year, exceeding the clients stretch target of 30%.

With regards to entering the awards, Steven our Founder has said:

“For far too long we’ve flown under the radar. We produce exceptional work but fail to shout about it. In 2026 I made a conscious effort to change that and to start better promoting our achievements. If we don’t, who will? When I came across the UK Paid Media Awards I thought what better place to start than by entering some of our work. To be nominated as a finalist just goes to show that we genuinely are producing some of the best work in the industry, and it’s an honour to be in the finals alongside some heavyweight brands and agencies.”

“Starlight Digital have been instrumental in driving significant and sustained growth for our business, Big House Experience. Without question, these guys know their stuff. I’d recommend them without hesitation.”

Full funnel marketing

So what did we do for Big House Experience to achieve such great results? Below is a short snapshot of the approach:

  • We created upper-funnel campaigns to drive awareness and create demand.
  • Mid-funnel campaigns are used to nurture audiences.
  • Lower-funnel campaigns are used to drive bookings and revenue.

Across Meta we’ve been using prospecting campaigns to drive high-quality clicks by targeting narrow lookalike audiences which has helped to ensure relevance whilst scaling reach. Video-only creative was used to maximise engagement, featuring fast-paced, aspirational footage showcasing a variety of inviting locations to appeal to a broad audience.

Messaging was intentionally generic and discovery-led, paired with a “Learn More” call to action to support the exploratory mindset of new users and complement the visual storytelling. The use of video assets also strategically built a strong pool of engaged video viewers, creating a valuable foundation for lower-funnel retargeting.

Retargeting focused on driving conversions, optimised toward the booking goal to capture high-intent users. Audiences included previous page and ad engagers – such as users who had saved ads but not yet converted, as well as video viewers from the prospecting phase, ensuring warm audiences were re-engaged effectively.

Static image creative was used to deliver clear, direct messaging with minimal distraction, while copy shifted to a more urgent, action-oriented tone to reflect higher purchase intent. A strong “Book Now” CTA reinforced immediacy and guided users toward completion, helping convert prior interest into confirmed bookings.

And across Google and Microsoft, a sophisticated multi-campaign approach has delivered exceptional performance. This involves the use of traditional keyword campaigns, dynamic search campaigns, performance max campaigns and demand generation campaigns.

The bulk of impressions is generated through Meta, whilst Google Ads and Microsoft sweep up bookings and revenue.

Suffice to say, the client couldn’t be happier:

“Starlight have super-charged our paid media activity, surpassing all expectation…they’ve applied some really advanced strategies to deliver terrific results and they’re an absolute pleasure to work with.”
